Committee for Protection Against Covid-19

In March 2020, SSA created a multidisciplinary team to join the Committee for Protection Against COVID-19. The Committee will monitor the evolution and impacts of COVID-19 in all the company’s processes to guarantee maximum protection for the workforce, customers, and consumers of São Salvador Alimentos products.

Covid-19 Preventive Measures

São Salvador Alimentos created a contingency plan to ensure the safety of its employees and everybody involved in the production chain. The document was prepared in compliance with World Health Organization (WHO) recommendations, the Ministry of Health, and other government agencies, approved by the Municipal Health Secretariat.

SSA currently has more than 100 preventive actions against COVID-19. The company is continually improving, adapting its operations to minimize the risk of contamination by the virus, and ensuring a healthy work environment for everyone.

The contingency plan also abides by the Public Ministry of Labor’s recommendations, set forth by the Conduct Adjustment Term-TAC, signed with that institution.

See below some of the contingency plan actions.

Social Actions During the Pandemic

São Salvador Alimentos embraces its social responsibility. As such, during the new coronavirus pandemic, it intensified its efforts to assist several institutions throughout Brazil.

The company donated dozens of tons of food so those philanthropic entities can overcome this crisis, and help their local communities.

SSA also donated equipment to the Municipal Hospital in Itaberaí, Goiás state, and sent financial resources to the Ministry of Health through the Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA). Despite pandemic-driven donations, SSA did not interrupt any of its regular monthly contributions to partner institutions.
